Marriage and Family Therapist Associate providing counseling in Aiea, Pearl City, and across Hawaiʻi via telehealth.
I am a Pre-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Hawaiʻi who specializes exclusively in working with children and adolescents.
Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, and growing up in a multicultural household, I have developed a deep appreciation for diversity, cultural understanding, and the unique experiences that shape each child and family.
My clinical work is dedicated to supporting keiki and adolescents, creating a safe and engaging space where they can express themselves in ways that feel natural and developmentally appropriate.
I utilize a combination of evidence-based and play-based therapeutic approaches, including:
Play Therapy (child-centered and directive approaches)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Humanistic and Person-Centered Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Art Therapy
Play therapy is an essential part of my work with younger children, allowing them to communicate emotions, process experiences, and build skills through play, rather than relying solely on verbal expression.
My experience as a Behavioral Health Specialist with the Department of Education provided the opportunity to work closely with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
I support youth experiencing:
Anxiety and depression
Low self-esteem and confidence
ADHD and attention challenges
Autism spectrum-related needs
Grief and loss
Trauma, including abuse
Social and peer relationship challenges
I am passionate about helping young clients develop the skills, emotional awareness, and resilience they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
I believe that children benefit most when caregivers are part of the process. I work collaboratively with parents and families to:
Support emotional and behavioral development
Strengthen communication at home
Reinforce skills learned in therapy
Provide guidance and practical tools for everyday challenges
My work is rooted in helping children and adolescents recognize their strengths, abilities, and potential.
Through therapy, I support clients in:
Building emotional regulation skills
Developing confidence and self-awareness
Learning healthy coping strategies
Expressing themselves safely and effectively
I believe that with the right support, every child has the ability to grow, heal, and thrive.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in nature and traveling. These practices support my own self-care and allow me to bring a grounded, present-centered approach into my work with clients.
