“Marriage and Family Therapist Associate providing counseling in Aiea, Pearl City, and across Hawaiʻi via telehealth.
I am a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT Associate) in Hawaiʻi, originally from Hanapēpē, Kauaʻi, and currently living in Kailua, Oʻahu.
Growing up in a close-knit, multicultural community shaped my deep respect for culture, connection, and the healing power of storytelling—values that continue to guide my work as a therapist today.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and culturally grounded approach, creating a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
My work is rooted in a family systems perspective, recognizing the importance of relationships, culture, and environment in shaping each person’s experience.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
Narrative Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Art Therapy
Family Systems Therapy
These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, helping them reconnect with their strengths, identity, and goals.
I have experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor, supporting adolescents and families navigating:
Substance use concerns
Family conflict
Trauma and emotional challenges
Mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, stress)
Academic and school-related stress
My work in school-based settings has strengthened my commitment to creating an empowering and supportive environment, especially for youth and families.
As someone raised in Hawaiʻi, I value the importance of ʻohana, community, and cultural identity in the healing process.
I strive to provide care that is not only evidence-based, but also respectful, relevant, and aligned with each client’s lived experience.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature, staying active, and connecting with my ʻohana and community.
I believe that balance, humor, and authenticity are essential—not only in life, but also in the therapeutic process.
